How accurate is the AI score vs the real ETS score?

Our model is trained to predict ETS score outputs across 100+ measurable features. On our internal validation against 70K+ scored recordings, we land within ±0.3 of the official band ~94% of the time.

Is this a substitute for taking the actual TOEFL?

No - Anytest is a practice and feedback tool. You still need to take the official TOEFL iBT through ETS. We help you walk in confident and walk out with a better score.

Will I see an actual improvement?

Absolutely! Practicing means better scores over time for most users. However, see Anytest as a practice + scoring platform rather than a score improvement guide.

Does it handle different English accents?

Yes. The model is trained on speakers from India, China, South Korea, Japan, Latin America, the Middle East, and more. It scores you fairly regardless of your L1 accent - but tells you when pronunciation actually impacts clarity.

How many times can I retake a practice test?

Retakes are unlimited, practice as many times as you need. It is the scoring feature that requires credits.

Do I need a fancy mic?

No. A standard laptop mic or AirPods works. We have a quick mic check before every test to make sure your audio is clean enough to score accurately.
